Last year, I fell in love with this beer. Simply called the Texas session beer, Staycation by Karbach Brewing Company is the beer for the summertime. The logo picture of the lawn chair in the kiddie pool sums up where you should be drinking this. This beer is destined to be drunk in a comfortable spot close to water.
The closest way to classify this beer is as a light pale wheat ale. It’s such a light beer, you’d swear that you could drink the entire six-pack with no issues. I don’t advise drinking that much, but once you’re two in, you start thinking about it. The brew has a lemon tart flavor that’s balanced with notes of a bready malt. The carbonation level is medium and perfect for the pale wheat style.
All I want to do is hang out by a pool or down by the beach when drinking this beer. If I have to drink it elsewhere, the perfect spot is at a picnic table surrounded by great friends. Give it a try and you’ll see.
