Beer Of The Week – Hops & Grain A Pale Mosaic

Hops-and-Grain-A-Pale-Mosaic-Pale-AleAll of Hops & Grain’s beers are absolutely delicious. I still have yet to drink one that was less than stellar. A Pale Mosaic may be the best of them all and that’s really saying something.

This American IPA uses the in-style Mosaic hops that are very popular for breweries looking to make a citrus flavored IPA. What makes this beer so incredible is the perfect flavor profile it has. It combines a fruity aroma with a grapefruit flavor and a bitter hop finish, which makes it flawless in taste.

A Pale MosaicThe use of a German pale ale and the Vienna malt as its base is very similar to Pale Dog, Hops & Grain’s pale ale. It is a very complex beer that allows you to taste quite a bit of pine, grapefruit, and almost a lemon flavor. The mixture of citrus flavors you get seem to change with each sip and makes drinking this beer a unique experience.

There is a reason why this is our favorite brewery in Austin and if they continue to introduce beers like this into the market, there’s no doubt that they will become your favorite brewery as well. No frills or fads needed with them, just damn good beer.
